Okay, so I can understand that some most there are trashy romance novels that make no attempt at historical accuracy.  I do, however, at least like to think that the authors I read happen to be better about their research, and for the most part it's true.

Thankfully there was no mention of panties, drawers without the center seam yes, but aside from brief mention she didn't describe them farther. The corset thing just killed me though... :D

A badly fitted corset can be pulled up or down a certain amount, especially if it's not laced too tightly. But unless she's got no hips, or didn't bother to pull the laces tight at all, you can't get a corset *off* that way.
