So things have been a lot better since Colin left for Alberta. Mike and I haven't fought, and we've been spending a lot more time together/he's treating me better. I am still not over the hurt Colin has caused me, and I am never going to blindly trust anyone again, but life goes on. Mike is coming over for supper with the 'rents on Thursday,

Glad to hear things are better. One word of caution - you have learnt that sometimes people are what you want them to be and then the realization that in reality they had horrible ugly feet of clay.

That doesn't mean that everyone is that way. Be guarded but be open to being delightfully surprised too.

BTW - most people aren't shits. Colin is.
