Fandom Appreciation Challenge - Love Letter to fandom.

The first day of the challenge involved sending feedback for three stories that are at least six months old. One of the stories I'd chosen is actually a series of stories. I sent my feedback by email and got a lovely reply from the writer in which I discovered that the stories were ten years old. I'd only found them about two or three years ago

even after being in fandom for nine years, I still occasionally have a "whoa, that has a fandom?!" reaction. The one thing that I think every fandom needs, especially the smaller sized ones, is a central fic archive. Especially an archive where a reader can expect to find basic grammar, spelling, and paragraphing.

It is kind of scary that the John and Delenn page hasn't really been updated this century. However, I really hate the feeling that comes when I click on one of my bookmarks and discover that the site is gone.
