With what has been going on around Fandom lately, I feel that there is a need for a celebration of female characters in television*.  I've decided to do this in the spirit of lj love memes.  Instead of having threads for individual lj posters, there will be threads for individual female characters

What's *not* to love? She's tough, compassionate, proud, self-sacrificing, committed, inspiring, graceful, stubborn...all the things she endures because she believes she has a destiny, and yet she'd throw it all away in a heartbeat to give comfort to an alien race that's dying because of their own stubborn fears.

Like I said, what's not to love?
