Baby Related Work Rant

My job today is to write ads for diapers that feature "cutting edge fashion options."

Because, you know, you don't want your baby to poop in last years diaper styles.

Also they want me to stress that there is no latex in the diapers - because I guess people who have a kid really don't like using latex for anything!

Uh...what?! haha. No latex, it makes me think that customers could mistake the ad for being targeted at people with adult baby fetishes? (But yes, I take it there's aversion to other forms of latex to boot. xD)

I dunno, I know someone who has a child with a severe latex allergy, so she has to ask about pretty much everything they bring into their house. Maybe it's a question this company has received often. Allergies these days seem to be going off the hook.

If you need a hand, feel free to ask. I used to be a pretty good Copywriter.
30 or 60 second spot?
Radio or TV?

But yeah, no latex? I mean, I guess some babies have latex issues, but wow. And why, why do you need "fashion" in a literal shit bag?

I could be wrong, but latex allergies aren't terribly uncommon? They're not as extreme as some peanut allergies, but they exist.

That was my thought. Not that I have any idea what the makeup of diapers is or whether latex is a common material in them. Or is latex the new gluten?
