Practicing the old ways [OPEN]

Aug 02, 2008 09:44

CHARACTERS: Hisoka. Anyone that wants to wander into the gym/volunteer for a spar/etc. is welcome to.
SUMMARY: The day after the blackout fully ends, Hisoka tries to get a semblance of a normal routine for him, and takes to the gym with one of the foam bats for sword-practice.
PLACE:
TIME: Mid-Day of the 2nd
WARNINGS: Can't think of any yet.

After crashing out for a while - his nerves'd been shot from fretting the whole time he'd spent watching Turret, so he hadn't really slept - Hisoka got up and...
Well, he did eat, even if it was just broth. And paced.
After a while, dwelling on the situation without any answers just seemed counterproductive; Hisoka headed out of his room, eyes on the floor, and headed to the lower-level gym.
He found one of the foam bats he'd seen mentioned, and settled back into stance; it took a couple awkward minutes to lose the nervousness in movement, but he was soon back in the old, familiar routine of sword katas, cycling through maneuvers against a nonexistent opponent. About the only thing breaking the focus was a pang of homesickness, and missing Teraizuma, of all people; sparring matches were always better practice than rote repetition.
