I love this. You've drawn a wonderful parallel dear. I feel similarly and I've actually been in love... I just want to see love that lasts a lifetime happing in front of me.
I guess the problem is that we seem to buy into the movie version of what love is. Movies and books tell us that love is this all encompassing thing that sweeps us away and takes over our lives.
In (my) reality, love is/was sitting with that person and feeling the electricity and comfort that makes you happy. I don't buy into the flowery crap were force fed in Drew Barrymore movies.
Worst comes to worst, remember that you have to have your Jimmy Cooper(s) before you find your Sandy Cohen. I believe it!
