Luckily we went out the side door and asked one of the drivers what time the Skills Challenge was supposed to start. When he said 3 we went back and hung around the lobby for an hour before heading down, but if we hadn't run into him we would have been toasted too.
The top place I've heard mentioned for moving it (if they insist on keeping it in Florida)is back to Orlando.

kifty has already mentioned several of the issues I had, but here are a few more that should be looked at, along with some suggestions ( ... )

Great suggestions.
The Skills Challenge schedule was pretty f'ed up by a couple of folks heading down so late and I'm sure the CFTC staff was seeing red just like the rest of us.

We got to the game so early that we were thinking that the 13 rows in front of us hadn't sold and were trying to figure out how much time to give folks before we moved down. Then like magic, they all filled around 3pm. I'm sorry you missed the anthem in person but if you check out fuskeez journal, I believe she has it from a couple of people.

Actually I was trying to figure out how to suggest that NSYNC.com host a video/mp3 of it but my guess is that may be a selling point for the next CFTC DVD.

By the by, weren't you at Jerry's Thurs with Lincolnkw?

Yes, I was...:-)

And certainly, I can see them having a high-quality version on the DVD, but I'm not certain that there'll be a new CFTC DVD for next year... Certainly the clips I've seen have been from everything before, and they aren't going to just 'add in' bits.

And while I'd love to see a full CFTC6 DVD, the only way that it would really 'work' would be for it to be in production right now, so that those who missed the event could get it soon.

I had an incredible time at CFTC this year -- I do think that the organizers have done a better job each year in making the whole weekend run smoothly. The parties in particular have improved dramatically in the past few years. There is always room for improvement, however, so here's the ones that come immediately to mind, most of which have already been mentioned, but I figure repeating them will emphasize that many people noted the issues ( ... )

Thanks for the info on the parties. I didn't go, so I didn't know any of those problems.
And #5? Exactly! I can understand them not wanting to promote themseleves so they would tell the dj not to use any NSYNC tracks, but if the rules were "bent" to allow Justin's tracks then JC's should have been used to. Also, my friends pointed out that they kept playing Usher but never attempted Good Charlotte and I would bet that the GC fans probably outnumbered Usher's.

As much as people have said CFTC should move to Orlando, I can't help but think after three years on the East Coast that maybe it should be out West.

I only really have one major suggestion for next year and it is that I would love to be able to have a little bit more advance notice on ticket sales/limits/prices than we did last year. And also access to a number (toll free or otherwise) that could be reached from outside the US.

Good suggestion. I realize that they have a built in promo through the fan club but it would certainly help to have the information get out through standard public channels as well. They obviously don't expect all concert tickets to be sold to just fan club memebers, so the promotion may need to be stepped up on that level.

Weren't you at Jerry's Thursday night?

From Canada you organized that!?! Creative!
We really enjoyed it. We were disappointed that the portions were so big that left overs would have been wonderful in our Roney microwave had there been a Roney refridgerator.

You were back at the back table near the desserts right? Right next to us in the next to last booth?

I have a whole letter typed out for Melinda with reasons to get it out of Miami and hopefully into somewhere in the midwest (St. Louis, Chicago, Milwaukee, Indianapolis, etc). I am tweaking it a little so if you have any suggestions regarding Chicago as a location, please feel free to respond or email me personally at nsyncnmesailing@yahoo.com

Glad someone else is writing her as well. I haven't heard any suggestions for moving it to Chicago specifically but graymouse did come up with the idea that maybe the choosing of the next site should be like the Olympics with fans nominating their own areas and putting together presentations/information for CFTC as to why their city would be the best to host CFTC. This sorta sounds like what you're working on, so more power to ya. If it turns up in Chicago, I'll know who to applaud.
So far, it just seems everyone would be happy to have it out of Miami.
