[It's a dead body. Its throat is slit, and it looks like she died of blood loss from the wound. But oddly enough, there isn't enough blood here to account for the amount she lost. Even including the message on the wall.

Also, she matches the description that James just gave to you in the other post.]

[They go up the stairs and turn left at the top. Also, as you go up the stairs, you'll notice what looks like claw marks in the banister and the wall paper on the staircase. Some are old, and some are new, but there are a lot of them. If you look closer at them, you'll even see that they are just about the right size for human hands, and there's even evidence of people breaking fingernails trying to find something to grab onto here. Also, there's a hallway to the right upstairs, but there is no blood that way. Do you go left, or right?]
