Louisiana is Ridiculous

Yesterday afternoon they cancelled school for today, and you wanna know why?

The threat of some snow and freeze-over.

Nothing had happened yet! It was just the threat of it! And what was threatened wasn't even that bad! I lived in Michigan; I know these things. Sheesh. Pathetic weather cowards, the lot of them.

LOL. :P

school, life

Yeah, I only got one snow day ever when I was in school, and it was my senior year of high school. There were days when it was blizzarding feet and feet of snow, but no, we still had to go to school. I say enjoy the day off, relax, and have fun. (All of which you probably did, but I'm behind on lj stuff).

Wow! Um, I really don't know what to say. LOL ;D

Here in New York we have just the opposite! My college never canceled classes for snow until commuters complained. Then they started canceling the night before. But at least it was extremely likely that we were getting a blizzard (and we did in fact get one)!
