This is beautiful. you conveyed Raven's anger and grief and regret beautifully (the funeral scene, my God, my heart broke), and then Charles coming back is almost too good to be true. I love Charles' letters, too, how the relationship they depict is not all roses and sunshine, but still underlined with love (which, as someone with sometimes very difficult relationships with my siblings, I can really relate to).

Also, I lurk a lot, but I wanted to say that I really love all your fics <3

LOL when I first started writing fanfic I was about 13 and wrote way too much completely unrealistic crap, and I guess I feel like I've been making up for it ever since by being way TOO realistic, but people seem to like it so... :P Thanks again!

Oh, this is everything I want to believe happened after X3. I love how Raven is so angry at Erik, how she returns to the mansion now she's human, and the letters Charles wrote... Lovely :).

Oh my -

That is beautiful. I love fics that explore Raven's thoughts and feelings. This one was beautiful - I love how ~human~ her emotions are in this, how she comes back to Charles because he's the only home she has ever had, only to find that he's died.

Her realization of Erik and Charles and the ending - oh so wonderful and painful all at once.

This is a fantastic fic. I enjoyed her second of it. Thank you sharing!

There's not many fictional universes that offer the potential for the kinds of emotions in this story. I love that X-Men does and that you wrote this story that uses them SO WELL! I completely believe this Raven and this Charles and this Erik. They're still all stubborn and flawed and hurt and hurtful, and I love how they, especially Raven as the main character, have so much regret but also can't really apologize for their actions because they did what they had to do to be themselves. But as they've gotten older-way older-they can come to a better understanding and they still accept each other.

And it's kind of perfect with Raven and Erik being human since because of the cause they've put so much into they can't really accept each other or themselves, but they know Charles can.

Thank you so much! I'm glad the realistic part of it is what you liked; it's what I really wanted to do. And I just have this soft spot in my heart for Raven now; I only have one brother myself that I love quite a lot, and their break-up at the end of First Class almost killed me more than the Erik and Charles divorce. So she ended up the main character here. I'm glad ya'll don't seem to have minded that! Thanks again! :)
