This whole chapter is so heart wrenching, but ERIK... oh god, Erik... he breaks my heart. Of course he'd latch onto the one thing that might be his fault and run with it.
You are so brilliantly amazing with this story. And it's embarrassing how long I sit staring at the comment box before I can come up with anything that might even remotely maybe tell you how beautiful this story is.
