Teenage Wasteland

Down to the final three days of high school. I still have a bit of homework to complete, but my will to do it is fleeting. I must say that James Joyce sucks...at least the book im readin. I look towards the summer and have hopes that ill actually go someplace other than my friends' houses, perhaps cedar point or something along those lines. ( Read more... )

Alas, the cataract of high school has finally begun to detumesce - and I can without the slightest sardonic intonation say, I am likewise inclined to share your sentiments. You know, the unfathomably vile and torturous utterances I’ve been privy to hear today have nearly diminished and overrun my tolerance (as it is tested and stretched to its painful elasticity nearly every conceivable fucking day) and I can count twice so far (it being only 10:22) that I have been compelled to entrench my fingers deep in pinching motions in my thighs to restrain from any preemptive act of violence. Isn’t it funny (or perversely pathetic - dependent upon your perception) that in those schmaltzy superfluously sucrose tales spun straight from the turgid womb of Hollywood (I speak namely of the John Hughes franchise) everyone is imbued with this goddamned contrite sympathy for one another - an empathy that hues them abrasively red with the most appalling sincerity - and they feel this connection so intrinsically that they are without the moments ( ... )
