A Narrative Account of a Day on Formspring

Jul 11, 2010 21:39

((Detailing the events which occurred near the conclusion of the 'Female Week' which affected several KHR role-players and resulted in the 'deaths' of two anonymous posters.))

Author's note: This is not the best it could be, since I simply wanted to get it down and remember it.  Though this isn't written from my character's perspective, I hope it is accurate enough and in keeping with the personalities of those involved.

Also, the order of events as posted on my actual Formspring page (since most of this took place there), may differ to what I write here.  This is so it makes more logical sense for a 3rd party (i.e. you, the reader).

Title: Anonymous R We  (otherwise known as 'The Return of the Anon' or 'The Anon Strikes Back')
Rating: PG for language
Genre: Attempted humour (to begin with, anyway)
Fandom/s: Katekyoushi Hitman Reborn and Umineko no Naku Koro Ni
Summary: What happens when an anonymous person or persons decide they can do whatever the hell they want to your character?  You strike back -- by enlisting the help of another fandom's witch.

Hibari stared at the struggling Mukuro lying on the ground, a mere few centimetres away from his feet, and tried to take in the hectic events of the past week.  Some unknown culprits had wreaked havoc amongst the Vongola and Varia, spelling certain individuals so they were forced to change gender for a week.  It had caused no end of outrage, especially since those who were targeted also happened to be those who did not take kindly to such ridiculous antics.

Ashamedly, he had been one of those very people.

Retribution on those responsible, however, could wait.  He had a more immediate, more important matter to attend to.  Namely, Mukuro.

Mukuro of course had not been spared.  In fact, he had only recently regained his proper body two or three days ago.  Though Mukuro's personality and manner had largely been the same in his time spent as a woman, Hibari had noticed a touch more mischief than usual.  Hell, the man - woman - had gone so far as to (jokingly) seduce Dino Cavallone in full knowledge that Dino's new fiancée - a suddenly female Squalo - was present nearby - and had in fact caught Dino 'in the act'.  (She later forgave Dino and revealed she was pregnant with his baby.  The two eloped and are now living quite happily together in some hidden dwelling.)

Hibari had then still been female.  It was around that time that the unknown tormentors had decided to get...a little more cheeky.

First, they somehow enchanted Mukuro to pursue him while he, Hibari, was female.  Nothing could describe the shock he (or she) had felt when the man had suddenly come barging in and delivered a kiss right to his (or her) mouth.  Anger had quickly replaced surprise and with his (her) tonfas he (she) had elbowed the man in the gut, shoving him as far away as possible from himself (herself).  When Mukuro tried again, he (she?) had decided to simply use his (her?) box weapons - namely the Cambio Forma, Alaude's Handcuffs - and had promptly locked the man in a room.

What was worse was that the anonymous person had, shortly after spelling Mukuro, delivered this ultimatum upon Hibari:

Have a romantic relationship with Mukuro, they had said, or you'll remain forever female.

Fuck you, had essentially been Hibari's reply, and following the advice of a friendly (also female) Rasiel, had sought help from a witch to remove his femininity.  Which in turn meant Mukuro would no longer feel any need for...well, that.

Except that had thoroughly annoyed the anonymous god who decided - having had what really had been quite a cunning plan foiled - to wreak divine wrath on the two of them by declaring them as 'sex predators' for each other.

Hibari, with his perfect self-control, was, of course, all but unaffected by this new development.  Mukuro, on the other hand...  He glanced once more at the man trapped in a cage made up of a multitude of handcuffs from his box weapon, snarling and struggling against his bonds.  The noise of the rattling cuffs was horrendous but Hibari would gladly ignore that so long as they kept the other man restrained.

Time to put a stop to this once and for all, he thought.  "We are off to see the witch again," he declared, receiving another snarl in response.  Hibari delivered a blow to the side of Mukuro's head, knocking the man unconscious then proceeded to drag him to the witch.

Ange, the Resurrection Witch, was unoccupied when Hibari approached her.

"Someone has found it amusing to change him" - he gestured at Mukuro - "into a sex predator towards me.  Could you please lend me your help again?"

Ange examined the once-more awake Mukuro who had begun thrashing about.  "Dear me.  These people are just having loads of fun with you guys, aren't they?" she said.

"Yes, they are."  Hibari scowled.

"...I'll see what I can do."

"Thank you."  Hibari left Mukuro to her and retreated for a moment to his hidden headquarters.

Ange stood over the panting Mukuro, contemplating how she would approach this new problem.

"As I said before to that other man, my power stems from whether you believe or not.  The more you believe, the stronger my magic is," she told Mukuro.  But Mukuro seemed to not hear her words, preoccupied with other thoughts.  She frowned.

"Perhaps this will catch your attention."  She shifted her form to an exact duplicate of Hibari - from appearance and manner down to the man's voice.  "Mukuro Rokudo."

The effect was instantaneous.  Mukuro lunged forward, but hindered as he was by the handcuffs the most he did was flop like an oversized fish.  "Tch!" he growled.

"Ah, you wish for this form, do you?" she smirked slightly, mimicking Hibari's own.  "Listen for a bit and I'll uncuff you.  Otherwise I'll bite you to death."  Mukuro settled down, breathing heavily, but listening.  His heterochromic eyes gazed intently at her.

"Now, first..."  Ange - as Hibari - narrowed her own eyes slightly.  "Who am I?"

"...Kyoya...Hibari.  Tsunayoshi's Cloud Guardian."

Ange-Hibari smirked again.  "You're more coherent than I thought you'd be.  Now, look back, and remember.  Guardian of the Mist, Mukuro Rokudo, your true form - what is it?"

Fuck that shit.  I'll make him disbelieve everything - everything!

Ange ignored the unknown voice.  Mukuro was frowning and shaking his head.  He muttered, "You can't be Kyoya...Kyoya was..."

Ange bent down to place a hand on Mukuro's shoulders and leaned towards the man slightly.  "I was...?  What was I?"  With her finger she traced a pattern on the floor and resurrected the time before the forced disbelief.  "Your true form: what is it...?"

Mukuro strained to reach her (rather, 'Hibari') again, but she made sure she was just out of range.  "...True form...?"  His expression resembled that of a crazed man.  She had to get him to focus.

"Perhaps this will jog your memory."  With a 'tonfa', Ange hit Mukuro squarely in the face.  All that brought was an abrupt laugh from the man.

"Painful...but it feels good..." Mukuro said, smiling oddly.

Ange shuddered.  Was the man a masochist?  She delivered another hit - this time between the legs.  "Let's see you feel good about that, illusionist."

That was better.  Mukuro flinched and gasped, trying to curl himself up but unable to.  "Ah!  That was a low blow, Kyoya..." he said after a moment, face screwed up with pain.

"Oh?  A blow is a blow."  Then she muttered, "Now, remember your true form.  You're not going to let me bite you to death just like this, are you?  How disappointing, Mukuro Rokudo."

The man narrowed his eyes at her words.  "I'm still as strong as you are.  Don't look down on me just because I'm like this now," he said through gritted teeth.

"Hm.  That's good."  Smirking, she shoved a 'tonfa' beneath the man's chin.  Mukuro's anger at the slight on his abilities appeared to be enough to override any other thoughts.  She was about to proceed when she sensed another presence approaching and looked around to see the real Hibari's return.

"How is it going?" he asked her, not in the least bit surprised at seeing his duplicate.  He smirked at Mukuro.  "Enjoying yourself?"

Mukuro glanced between the two of them.  "There are two of you..."  Then he scowled and rattled the handcuffs.  "No, I'm certainly not enjoying myself!" he said, annoyed, but he seemed to at least have no wanton thoughts on his mind for the present.

"Hm.  I see."  Hibari sat down to watch as Ange resumed her work.

"Now, now," she said, still 'Hibari' and still smirking, "remember your form - the form you once had, without the sin of lust.  This pain is real, Mukuro Rokudo.  Show me your true strength, illusionist."

The man glared.  Something spun in his right eye and suddenly the handcuffs which held him cracked, disintegrating into dust.  A sleek, black trident appeared in one hand and Mukuro struck out at Ange.

The witch neatly dodged the attack, and Hibari quickly got to his feet, suddenly outlined in flickering violet flames.  "The handcuffs are still holding.  But..."

Mukuro glanced over at him and the corner of his mouth tweaked upwards.  "I thought that might be the real you..."

"You cannot do anything.  The handcuffs will hold for as long as I want.  In the meantime..."  Hibari walked a little closer, tonfas held loosely by his sides.  "You are still feeling...jumpy, I presume?"

The illusion faded away, showing Mukuro was still trapped.  "What if I am?" he asked, smiling wickedly.

"Then I'll bite you to death," Hibari replied straight away, tonfa held at the ready.

Ange interrupted by intoning: "Now, remember your true form, Mukuro Rokudo - the form you once had without the sin of lust."

A whirlwind of golden butterflies engulfed Mukuro, hiding him briefly from sight.  When they disappeared, so too did Ange's disguise.  "How are you feeling now?" she asked Mukuro.  "Back to your original self?"  She was smirking slightly.

Mukuro returned the smirk.  "Back to normal, yes.  Thank you, witch."

Hibari watched the other man carefully.  "I presume I can let you go now."

A small laugh.  "That would be good.  I've had enough of being imprisoned."

The handcuffs slowly retracted, vanishing in small bursts of violet flame back into the box which Hibari held.  Mukuro staggered upright, grimacing.  Ange held out a strangely-shaped pendant towards them.

"This pendant wards off evil," she told them.  "If you keep this with you then you won't be affected by those anonymous persons."  She offered one to Mukuro who took it, examining it with interest, and offered an identical one to Hibari.

"The sort of 'evil' that this pendant wards off is the sick and perverted intentions of a person.  So long as you carry it around with you, you shouldn't be affected by those anonymous people trying to change you in any sort of way," she explained.  "By that, I mean doing something with the intention of causing you to do something with someone else, or transform you in some way that would inevitably end up in what fangirls call 'fanservice'.  Sexual or otherwise."

Hibari accepted the pendant, saying, "Thank you very much.  Once again, I owe you."  Then to Mukuro: "This...charm should help, hmm?  That's good..."

Mukuro looked at him sidelong.  "Yes, I can decide whether or not I want to throw myself at you."  The man's lips twitched upwards with suppressed laughter.

Hibari chose to ignore that comment.
