Match # 3 - August 10th - August 30th
Gryffindor vs Ravenclaw
Hufflepuff vs Slytherin
Alrighty, time for the final match. Just to let you know, the "Quidditch Cup" winner will be the house with the most points. Also, the match is ending on the 30th to give us enough time to judge and get the points in for the House Cup.
Sorry I didn't get this out sooner, but we've been having some massive thunderstorms the past few days, and with that comes power issues.
Finally, all but the Seekers will be doing things based around Book Seven! So if for some reason or another you haven't gotten through the book, but you have enough teammates to do the match for you, then feel free to sit out. I don't want anyone to be spoiled if you haven't read it (but it's been about three weeks so I would hope you all would have finished it by now!) I'll even give enough space so you don't completely see what's going on.
Here we go!
Keeper:
Was Dumbledore really justified in his actions? He may have apologised, but should that really be reason enough to reprieve him? He caused Harry seven years of pain and suffering for his own selfishness. What really warrants as forgivable?
Remember, you must use evidence from the books, or if you don't have the books accessable, then feel free to use the Lexicon. Also remember that you need to have your posts in your locker rooms a week before the due date to allow your teammates to comment!
Chasers:
We all know what happened with Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, and Draco in the epilogue. JKR also gave us some clues as to what happened to some of the others.
For this, I would like you to write an epilogue for another character. It can be any character you want, except the five main ones above. Meaning, if you want to expand on Neville's story, you can.
Remember, you must post a draft/finished copy of your story to your locker rooms a week before the due date to allow your teammates to comment! If any changes are made in that week, then you must repost the finished product. Your teammates do not need to comment to the finished product if you repost.
Beaters:
I would like you all to draw a scene from Deathly Hallows with Paint. It can be any scene you want, and it doesn't have to be elaborate, because, well, this is paint.
You may also use PS/PSP/Gimp as long as it looks like it's been drawn with the pen or paintbrush. If your picture is a copy of someone's fan art, you will not recieve points, and I will actually deduct points. Not that any of you would do that, but there's your warning otherwise.
ETA: By paintbrush, I mean the tool that you use to draw. In PS it's called the pen, in PSP it's called the paintbrush. It's just like you would draw with paint, but on PS or PSP or Gimp.
Seekers:
Your challenge is the only one not dealing with book seven. You're going to play Harry Potter Scene-It: My version :)
There are 15 questions from SS, PoA, and GoF. CoS is not included because someone borrowed my copy and didn't give it back. Grr. The questions are all in year order, and there's one freebie that, no matter what you answer, you get the question right. I just thought it was funny and couldn't find a good 5th question for PoA.
There is a difference in how this will run so PAY ATTENTION! You will be receiving ALL QUESTIONS at this time. You are NOT allowed to turn them in until the date I specify. I'm also not going to give you the date till the day of. So, I would advise to have your answers ready. Once I say go, the race is on!
