Hobbies/Interests: I love to read fanfiction and sometimes write it. I will always have a great idea, start writing it and then force myself to finish it. I love playing on computers and computer games. Peggle is my favorite at the moment. I love watching movies and reading.
1. If you were to attend Hogwarts, what would be your favorite classes and why?
I would have two favorite classes, actually. I make herbal baths. I crush different herbs or plants and mix them with bath salts to create a soothing bath that helps to heal, or to help you sleep, or even feel better about yourself. Because of this, I need to know Herbology as well as Potions. The two go hand in hand in what I do, so I can’t choose one over the other. Without knowing the properties and what the plants do, I could create a potentially dangerous combination and hurt someone.
2. Without bashing any particular house, where do you feel like you least belong? Why?
This is the hardest question. I can tell you where I have been sorted before and I can tell you what I believe, but it is ultimately up to how I answer the questions on this form. I am a true Slytherpuff - combining the two for the question. I admit it freely and I happily fit into both houses. I’m extremely hardworking and loyal and a great friend - when it is something I want.
I have not been able to identify with either Gryffindor or Ravenclaw. I don’t think I would be someone that would be bold and rush off into danger - such as a cave full of spiders - but I have been known to walk forward bravely when I have to. I love to read and I love to learn. I have said many times that I am going to be a career student, but I don’t feel the need to study all the time, which is how I see Ravenclaw as being. I know I would get annoyed if I had to answer a question every time I tried to get into my common room. It might be a chance to learn something, but sometimes you just want to go to bed and ignore learning for a bit. (Hopefully that didn’t sound like I was bashing Ravenclaw, because I’m really not - I respect them and their quest for knowledge.)
3. Who are your favorite major and minor characters in the series? Why?
Severus Snape is my favorite character. I have loved him from Goblet of Fire. His life was extremely hard, but he still managed to live it for love. Everything he did from the time he met Lily Potter until his death was for her. In his final moments, he was still true to that love - giving every memory to Harry and then asking for only one thing in return, to look into his eyes, Lily’s eyes.
For my minor character, I will have to go with Susan Bones. I feel each character is major in their own way, but she is definitely more in the minor category than major. I connect with Susan in many levels. I have done many RPG’s in which I have portrayed her. She is a strong character. Her family has literally been destroyed by Voldemort, yet she still maintains a very happy, normal exterior. I completely believe there is more to her than a pretty face, but that is all she is in canon. A pretty face who is niece to Amelia Bones, one of the witches at Harry’s trial.
4. Which character do you most identify with and why?
I’m trying to answer differently then normal, so I’m going to have to say Luna Lovegood. She is a brilliant character/person. She sees what others don’t see and she doesn’t judge. She is not afraid to stand up for what she believes in whether it is to defeat Voldemort or to talk about the Crumple-Horned Snorkack. She is different and even those she is friends with know this.
5. What makes a person respectable in your eyes?
A person’s honesty makes them respectable. Everyone is given a fair shot with me. I will respect you from the beginning and treat you the way I expect to be treated. If you end up lying to me, you lose all respectability.
6. If you were an animagus, what would you transfigure into and why?
A dragonfly. They begin their lives as ordinary little water beetles and become beautiful jeweled insects that fly. They have a solitary journal from one existence into another and are never able to return to where they have been previously. Life is very much like this. Once you know a truth, you can never pretend like it didn’t happen.
7. You are looking at the Mirror of Erised. What do you see?
In keeping with me trying to give new answers to questions I have answered in other places…
I see me sitting down and reading Deathly Hallows without the epilogue and it ending in a slightly different manner. I would be surrounded by all of my lovely friends that I have met through fandom and we would all be rejoicing and laughing and having fun with the new ending.
8. You are faced with a boggart, what form does it take?
I’m going to have a new boggart for this community and not my normal one. *grins*
A Plot Bunny. Yes, they are pretty innocent and they manage to get carried away and multiply and then you are left sitting in the midst of a ton of bunnies and no time to finish writing the ones that have been with you for a long time.
9. Give a quote from the books and explain why you picked it.
“Here lies Dobby, a free elf.”
I picked this quote only because I used it not too long ago when talking to a friend about Deathly Hallows. She hasn’t read it, but was going to write me a drabble. I had to give her some background information which led me into getting upset over Dobby’s death.
10. Speaking of quotes, what do you think of this one? "There is no good and evil in this world, only power and those too weak to seek it." -Quirrellmort.
There is no good or evil in the world - it is only your perspective. There are things in this world that you do that could be considered good or evil, it just depends on which side you are standing on. The Christian Crusades of the 10th thru 12th centuries were a “Holy” war. It was a good thing, if you were a Christian, but if you were one of the nonbelievers you were being killed in the name of Jesus. Those in power at that time were the Christians and they grabbed at it with everything they had. Is that good or evil? It is power.
11.If you could have a dinner party and invite any 3 other people, dead, alive, or fictional, who would they be and why?
Mary Magdalene. She had such an interesting life. There are so many questions surround her today. I would love to just sit down and talk to her and find out what she really has to say.
My Mother. There have been so many things that I have questioned since she died, that I would love to sit down and actually write down the responses and pay attention like I should have when she was alive.
Peter Pan. Everyone needs to have someone that would bring life to a party. The boy that wouldn’t grow up and to this day still fights pirates. Can I take the dinner party to Neverland?
12. Which is thicker, friendship or blood?
I can’t answer this one properly. Blood is supposed to be thicker, yet I have seen families turn their backs on each other. For me it has always been friendship. My really, really close friends are my family. They have stood beside me through thick and thin. I have leaned on my friends when my family has been otherwise occupied. But then I don’t think of my friends as friends. They are my sisters.
13. Would you ever use an Unforgivable Curse for any reason?
Yes, I would use them. It depends on the circumstance, obviously. Much as I would love to crucio my husband every now and then, it wouldn’t be acceptable. If someone were trying to hurt me or my family, I would have absolutely no problem turning it right back onto them.
14. Would you put your name in the Goblet of Fire for the Tri-Wizard Tournament? Why or why not?
No. I don’t like risking my neck for fame and glory. I would be happy sitting back in the stands with my friends saying, “Yeah, I could do that if I wanted to.”
15.True or False: Rules are meant to be broken. Explain.
True. If rules weren’t meant to be broken I would be a housewife, unable to vote and virtually a slave to my husband. Granted, I wouldn’t be married to my current husband because he would still be a slave. It doesn’t mean that all the rules need to be broken, but if we are dealing in absolutes - definitely true.
16. Anything else you'd like us to take into consideration?
