Please sort me =)

Name: Rebecca, but please don't use it. Far too formal. Becky is what my friends call me, so feel free to use it.

Age: Twenty three.

Location: Suffolk, United Kingdom.

Hobbies/Interests: I'm a very artistic person.. I love painting, drawing, scrapbooking, making cards, finding new and interesting things to do with glitter. I'm obsessed with travelling.. I believe there's more to this world than the rat race and I intend to find it. I can't live without good movies, books and music.

1. If you were to attend Hogwarts, what would be your favorite classes and why? I love plants, being outdoors in the garden and growing my own vegetables, flowers, plants and trees and caring for them. I'm fascinated at how you can get your dinner from inside a seed or from a small cutting. Therefore I think Herbology would be one of my favourites. The stars are also a fascination of mine and I use them a lot in my artwork.. I can think of nothing better than lying on my back in a field with some friends and a few beers while watching the stars, so Astronomy would also be a definate favourite.

2. Without bashing any particular house, where do you feel like you least belong? Why? I feel least affinity with Ravenclaw. I tend to use my heart instead of my head, and gut instinct instead of knowledge to get me to where I want to be, which I feel are Gryffindor traits; I'm also planning on travelling alone to Australia this summer, and people keep telling me it's a brave thing to do. I'm enormously loyal to my friends and I work hard at everything I attempt to do, which is where my feelings for Hufflepuff are strong.

When I really want something I can be quite cunning about getting it and am meticulous about planning when I'm hatching an idea, so I feel affinity to Slytherin as well. But Ravenclaw... I love to read and learn, but I think sometimes knowledge is more dangerous than anything. I would rather learn through making my own mistakes, going out into the world and learning from my experiences than sitting in a library reading. I have a deep respect for Ravenclaws and their studiousness, but I'm definately not suited to their house.

3. Who are your favorite major and minor characters in the series? Why? You know, Neville Longbottom is one of my favourite major characters. Why? Because he reminds me too much of myself. When I was in school I had a few good friends, but I was mostly seen as a bit of a loser. I'm terrible at remembering things (poor Nev and his remberall) but his time came and he truly showed his Gryffindor side spectacularly in the last battle. I love that.. No offence to all you Harry lovers, but in my opinion it was mostly (but not completely!) luck and friendship that got him through most of his battles - but Neville was working on pure courage. Bravery is something I really admire in people, because there is such a lack of it in this soft country I live in. I'm also completely in love with Severus. So misunderstood... so much pain and regret over Lily, forever loving her despite everything and actually, yes, having Harry's back because of her. Sigh. Such a tradgedy.. and though he'd probably hex me six ways from Sunday, I really would like to tell him that it's alright to feel that pain.

My minor character.. I think I'd pick Narcissa Malfoy. She saves Harry to make sure Draco is alright - again, a hugely brave thing to do, but also enormously loyal. She seemed to never want in on being with the Dark Lord and his band of Death Eaters, but the wife of Voldemort's right hand man saved Harry Potter and ultimately allowed his defeat.

4. Which character do you most identify with and why? I can definately identify with Neville - as I have already explained. I find myself identifying with Luna; people think she's a bit weird, but they miss out on a wonderful personality by letting that small thing get in the way. Her classmates steal her things from her for no real reason, and being a victim of bullying of this kind myself, I can definately identify with it, however I am also familiar with smiling through it and sticking to who you are, no matter what other people have to say about you.

5. What makes a person respectable in your eyes? Several things. Standing up for yourself - for who you are. Someone doesn't like you? Don't change yourself to suit them! Honesty - I have some real trust issues. I would much rather someone tell me hurtful truth to my face than look into my eyes and tell me a lie. Dedication to realise what you want out of life... not fitting in with everything just because other people are. Doing something a bit crazy and a bit "out there" because YOU love it, and you don't care what other people think of it. Just being yourself, I think. I hate fakers.

6. If you were an animagus, what would you transfigure into and why? Probably a cat. I always have to be in the know - irritating I know; soft, virtually soundless footfalls and sharp ears would definately help. Also, cuddles are good.

7. You are looking at the Mirror of Erised. What do you see? Me, whole and happy and alive just from life. Someone standing behind me with their arms around me, looking adoringly into my mirror-eyes and whispering something soft in my ear. Contentment. Love.

8. You are faced with a boggart, what form does it take? It's darkness. Emptiness. Hollowness... the same repetitive routine again and again. I guess it would be a cage, or a dark, endless cloud.

9. Give a quote from the books and explain why you picked it.
"It does not do well to dwell on dreams and forget to live." - Albus Dumbledore.
In the literal sense, I agree with Dumbledore - dwelling on things that are simply images in our heads while we sleep is negative. However, I think you can put dreams and life together, if you are determined enough to work hard for it. I've always dreamed of living in another country, working in another country. Since I was about 14 I've wanted out of England, so guess what? After waiting and relying on other people, I'm doing it myself. I think you can live and realise your dreams.

10. Speaking of quotes, what do you think of this one? "There is no good and evil in this world, only power and those too weak to seek it." -Quirrellmort. Good and Evil are a matter of opinion, and I personally agree with this quote. Those in power will of course have the upper hand over those that don't - it's the way of the world. Having the power to lead armies, the confidence to destroy people just because of their religion - it's not about good and evil. It's about the size and power of the people you are commanding, and the power you have to command them and make them believe in you.

11.If you could have a dinner party and invite any 3 other people, dead, alive, or fictional, who would they be and why? I'd invite three of my friends that I met through fandom who live on other continents. We'd get together, read Harry Potter, get mashed and eat too much food.

12. Which is thicker, friendship or blood? To me, it always has been friendship. I can tell my friends anything, and I hardly trust my family at all.

13. Would you ever use an Unforgivable Curse for any reason? If a situation arose where I needed to protect people that I love, then I would have absoloutely no problem using an unforgivable. Even though the book doesn't specify, I always imagine Molly Weasley performing the Avada Kedavra on Bellatrix Lestrange to protect her own family. Molly Weasley is my hero.

14. Would you put your name in the Goblet of Fire for the Tri-Wizard Tournament? Why or why not? Not for all the Galleons in Gringotts. I'm not going to kill myself for something as stupid as a big cup and some money.

15.True or False: Rules are meant to be broken. Explain. Of course they are. Rules are more fickle in this society than ever before. It's how humans work... tell them not to do something and, most of the time, the curiosity will get the better of you and you'll end up doing it. If rules had never been broken, we would still be living in an age where Men ruled the earth, and as an independant headstrong woman, I'm sincerely glad of that rule disintegrating.

16. Anything else you'd like us to take into consideration? Hinkypunks are odd things.
