I've been curious about Kate Elliott's books for sometime now so when I saw Cold Magic in Fully Booked, I decided to give it a try. I've been waiting for her books to become available here for some time. At 502 pages, this lengthy novel is available in trade paperback format for P630.

Yay! I'm so glad you got a chance to read one of her books!

Steampunk -- Philip Pullman's Golden Compass is steampunk, actually.
I like Gail Carriger;s Soulless series -- it's a series of short books, but I think they are a lot of fun.

I think I saw Spirit Gate in one of the local bookstores so I hope I can grab that one and read it next!

Hey, I had no idea that Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy is steampunk. Huh. That's one of my favorites too. I've heard of the Soulless series and I've seen a couple of good reviews, it's just not that high up in my wishlist. :P
