Still watching the Rocky movies

My Rocky marathon's continues. Just finished watching Rocky V, and really I don't see why people hate it so much. Yeah it had some weak points, yeah it wasn't a good way to end the series so I'm glad they finally made one more after it, but it's not really a bad movie.  Hell, I liked it way more than Rocky IV.

Guess tomorrow I'll watch Rocky Balboa, ( Read more... )

That's kind of cool to hear that Rocky V wasn't that bad.

Perhaps after Rambo, you could watch another classic Stallone film, Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over.

It really wasn't, in my opinion. It was still over the top, but kinda tried to go back to basics a bit. Wasn't as uplifting a story as the others, but I still really enjoyed it.

And after the Rambo movies, if I still want more Stallone, I think I'll skip Spy Kids 3D, heh. Rather just watch Demolition Man again.

While you've been watching the horror movies, you've been missing out all the AMAZING action movies! I still can't believe you didn't like Rocky IV, that's unAmerican.

I didn't say I didn't like Rocky IV, ya bum! It was good, I just didn't like it as much as the others. The robot was silly, and it just didn't match the spirit or quality of the other movies. Plus, Rocky technically should've lost the fight with Drago, but fortunately the filmmaker's forgot about the three knockdown rule and let the fight continue.

And I still wanna know what's wrong with Rocky V, I thought it was great.

Here's how I think the Rocky movies go, from favorite to least favorite:

*Rocky
*Rocky Balboa
*Rocky II (would be in second place if the fight scene was done better)
*Rocky III
*Rocky V (almost tied with III, but Apollo + Clubber Lang = too much awesome)
*Rocky IV

I think it's the whole thing with Tommy Gunn.
