Sooo...graduation was today. First off, Congratulations to everyone, I know it was a long hard road. Don't worry, this entry won't be as long, tedious, boring, and pointless as Mr. Anticole's speech. It was a great day, the feeling of officially being finished with high school. The actual ceremony...i have few good things to say about it. the ( Read more... )

Wow, that sounds pretty bad. Sorry you had to endure that.

Last year there was talking and immature behavior, but def. not close to what you mentioned. I had the same attitude as you though- "who cares; i'm graduating" and it's a good attitude to have. From now on you can pick and choose who you see...and you won't see most of those idiots ever again. It's a great feeling, lol.

Anyway, sorry people sucked, but congrats on graduating!!!!

Yeah Chad i couldn't agree more with how the whole graduation ceremony proceeded. And yes our class is beyond immature and won't make it out of HCC in most cases. Yeah the beach balls were completely disrespectful and i feel that if used at a different point in time during the ceremony they might've been slightly amusing. However they were inflated early on and often expressing the true immaturity of our class and how disrespectful the bulk of us really are. But hey we never have to see A SHIT LOAD of them EVER AGAIN and that feeling is just amazing which makes this day that much better.....

I totally agree. And I'm also incredibly glad I'm a girl. I missed a lot of the "shut the fuck up" comments, and the rude jokes. They did sort of ruin the ceremony for me. I was fully prepared to hear some cliche speech on the future, and I was sadly disappointed. When Katie was talking, it was so right, except I couldn't hear most of the end of her speech due to the half dozen beach balls.

But, I suppose you're right. I should be glad I'll never have to see any of them, ever again.
