Sorry for the late comment, I saw the link a few days ago... but didn't had the time to read it. But here i am now :)

Red flame means love, the eternal love that would never die or fade away. In the end, the red fire is Jaejoong. I find this so sad and at the same time happy...
And i'm glad that Junsu was able to see the same thing, to learn that living in the dark side had this bittersweet love that prevent him for been lonely.
I'm not sure if what I said make sense... but I love this side story and the titles are really wise.

And I'm happy to know that you understood Junsu's side of the story and the end. :) i still didn' t want to make the end too happy because of yunjae's story so it had to have both happy and sad. :D i did research on the titles before i used them and they both pretty much reference each other a lot so i couldn't resist using them >:D

although the way jaejoong is a fire kinda reminds me of calcifer in howl's moving castle XD but... in a more serious way, lol

I guess it's not surprising that the son falls for his Appa's soul mate.

I suppose this means Jaejoong didn't die.
His human body dies but his soul was transform into something else....the fire.
This would mean he has always been at his son's side.
