Everybody cross all your fingers and toes for me. I applied for the BA program at grant mac yesterday. I'm more worried about getting the funding than I am getting into the actual program.

that is all.

You will get the funding. I applied to Bachelor of Physical Education and was put on a waiting list. My application didn't get in until June 30th. I waited all of July and August to find out. They would only accept 100 students and I was #104. Luckily for me - six people decided that BPE was not for them or decided to go over to U of A.

two years ago, I applied for the student funding in July and got approved in August. And last year, they didn't have the student loan forms out until July and again, August I got approved.

So I am more than sure you should be okay.

it's not that ... I'm a sponsored immigrant. When he brought me up here, my ex had to sign a 10 year sponsorship undertaking. I hit nothing but roadblocks when I tried to apply for students finance to finish my highschool, and I'm worried that I'll find the same holds true for grants/bursaries at the post secondary level too. With 2 kids to support, I'll never pay it all back if it's strictly loans.

Oh now that's a twist ! You will be able to pay it back but in small increments. If you don't get approved, you can always appeal.
