Wow, this is excellent! I really like your younger Soubi. And this conversation between him and Ritsu-sensei is a great example of their relationship (though I admit I haven't read/viewed far enough to see much of that).

I am confused by their relationship. It's so hard to categorize. The only time we see younger Soubi, he's being whipped by Ritsu (to teach him not to fear pain). It's a fairly emotional scene. But in the present, Soubi is indifferent to Ritsu (he hangs up on him!), and Ritsu doesn't appear to feel anything emotional for Soubi beyond, er, an aesthetic appreciation ("he is my masterpiece" etc etc).

It's implied in one of the Loveless extras that Soubi lost his ears to Ritsu. (EW GROSS.) That was a parody extra, though.

btw, i really like the thick undercurrents in their conversations, especially in Ritsu's side of things. my loveless-illiteracy aside, this is still very compelling. ^^
