Explain to me. I'm curious.

We have always been prisoners here. We have always been used. We have never been people in our captors' eyes. We have known that experience doesn't matter; they'd send any of us to die.

How many times will you plead with them? Do you enjoy it? They'll never listen.

[All of these draft posts are making Caesar feel a little sour. But you know what? This is one he doesn't mind.]

Maybe you should try this for experiments, too. [Because god knows how many people still react the same way every single time. He sighs a little.] Long time no see, Sir Sigmund.

[Sigmund, you have pinged Richard's kingly instincts here, especially because he was the one who had to be defended on the last draft.]

The first step would be to determine how many there are in need of protection, and then find out how many volunteers we have to serve as defenders and divide them up accordingly.

[Not surprising, since he's running on kingly instincts himself.]

With any luck, we'll be able to have some sort of system in place by then. But it will require cooperation from those going, and that is something that can't be guaranteed.

If that lack of cooperation comes with more pleading, it will be more than I can stand.
