Fictober 2019 Day 2 - Prompt: Blankets
Title: Blankets
Pairing: Abe Aran / Yasui Kentaro
A/N: Ok, so I'm going to try and do this Fictober Challenge (here) and this is the second prompt (posting two in one day because I had a slow start). Hopefully I can keep up with this and post daily XD Different prompts will include different characters.
Day 02 - Blankets
The rain is still tapping the windows, and by now, they should really move from the carpet, go to the couch or the bed, somewhere more comfortable. But Aran is comfortable there already, all the pillows and the blankets around him making him want to stay there forever. The lights are dim, and his eyes feel heavy, but still, he keeps staring outside through the open curtains, arms wrapped around his knees, his chin resting on them.
He hears the soft footsteps, and then there’s another blanket placed around his shoulders, before Yasui slowly sinks onto the pillows next to him. Aran smiles quietly, mouthing “thank you”, fingers reaching to wrap it tightly around his body. Yasui lifts his hand to Aran’s hair, carefully caresses it, pushing a couple of strands to the side.
“Are you sure you don’t want to move?”
“I’m fine here.”
Yasui nods, and then he’s leaning, soft lips pressed gently against Aran’s hair, before he pats his head calmly. “Then we’ll sleep here.” He says, and Aran searches for his fingers with his own, resting his head on his shoulder. “Should I close the curtains? Is it too bright?”
“No, let them be.” Aran mutters, and the warmth now is so good, so comfortable, makes him so drowsy…he can feel Yasui’s arms around him, and he pulls him until he’s under the blankets as well, doesn’t want him to be cold. Just 5 minutes, he can close his eyes for 5 minutes, and then they can talk again.
But when he opens them again, it’s already morning, and they’re both lying down, Yasui’s face only a couple of inches away, his breath warm against Aran’s cheek. And the rain is still going strong outside the window.
