Fictober 2019 Day 29 - Prompt: Party
Title: Party
Characters: Tanaka Juri, Kyomoto Taiga, Watanabe Shota
A/N: Day 29 of the Fictober Challenge I decided to try (here) .
Day 29 - Party
They’ve dimmed the lights by now, and they’ve scattered around in different rooms. Some are sleeping, others are still playing games, and a few are occupying the kitchen, invading the fridge for more.
They’ve spilled a few drinks on the floor, but it’s ok, nothing that will leave stains on the carpet. The music, somebody must have turned it off while they weren’t paying attention, and after all those hours of celebrating, drowsiness if finally getting the best of them.
Shota shows up from one of the rooms, holding an almost empty drink in his hand, and casually squeezes himself on the couch next to Juri, ignoring Taiga’s soft grunt as the boy has to move so that all three of them can fit. He’s smiling, a little too bright, his cheeks shining, and Juri can’t help but smile too, certainly when the older one chuckles.
“We did it, you know? It’s happening.”
It makes Taiga lift his head as well, rest it on Juri’s chest so he can take a better look of Shota. And it feels nice, that sense of achievement, the pure happiness that they have all experienced today, having fun and letting go. They can hear still the voices of the others around in the house, Sakuma’s laughter is always impossible to miss, but none of the three tries to get up. It’s nice there, in this moment.
