So House had a nasty week and the artificial cheer grated his nerves but it didn't matter as he drove home, gift for Jimmy in tow. He might be an atheist but seeing Joshua and Claire destroy the wrapping paper made him smile and the kiss he gave his fianceé that much sweeter. I'll see you tonight, the diagnostician promised with a grin before going to work.

Once House spotted Novak, he sneaked a nip at the mess of hair. "Tell me there's some dinner left," he growled playfully.

"Shepard's pie," Jimmy returned jerking a thumb in the direction of the kitchen. "You're welcome to some."

"Sounds delicious," House complimented while kissing that head and slipping a small present before limping to kitchen. The gift itself was an iPod full of Jimmy's music plus videos to the artists performing. The doctor loved to hear his angel play the piano whenever he could catch him.

"You've never had Shepard's pie?" Jimmy raised concerned eyes to the doctor. He was under the belief that everyone had eaten it at least once but instead of instigating that he went to tear apart the gift wrapping and smiled at the thought. He'd still been using a walkman.
