Kyungsoo lifted the teapot with two hands, one holding the base and other tilting it to pour. Amber liquid flowed into the teacup he had previously placed in front of Jongin on the dark wood coffee table. Jongin waited as Kyungsoo set the pot down and moved to lift the teacup to his lips.
"Drink up." He whispered, tilting Jongin's head back gently so his mouth fell open. Jongin let the liquids fall down his throat before gulping it back. It was a bit too hot but Jongin welcomed the slight burn.
"Thank-you." Jongin said to Kyungsoo after he had cleared his throat. Kyungsoo just nodded and filled the cup once more.
It was times like these that Jongin realized how truly lucky he was to have Kyungsoo in his life. It was times like these when Jongin reclined on the sofa, body tense and black and blue ringing his eyes, that he realized how truly relieved he was to have a place to come back to.
Kyungsoo mumbled something to himself-as he lifted the third cup of tea to Jongin's lips- that Jongin didn't pick up.
"Hm?"
"I'm going to call cops on them."
"Kyungsoo-" Jongin sighed and leaned away from the cup pressing towards him, "You don't have to do that. We don’t even know who they are."
The response did not seem to Kyungsoo's liking as he less-than-gently set the cup back down and leaned his head into his hands. He was trying to hold back his anger, Jongin noted the tensing of his shoulders. When he let his hands fall back down to the table, he gave Jongin a pitiful look.
"I just can't believe they did this to you." His fingers brushed over the bruises around Jongin's eyes. Jongin winced, but let Kyungsoo continue to trail them lightly down the side of his face until they rested on the dip in his neck.
"Wait here." Kyungsoo rose from his seat and headed to the kitchen. When he returned he held a small plastic bag filled with ice in his left hand. Jongin tried not to recoil when he pressed the ice over the left side of his face. He sighed contently when the stinging numbed. A few moments later, the bag was removed and Jongin whined as the stinging slowly returned. Kyungsoo's lips took it's place, leaving feathery kisses everywhere he could and Jongin quieted, sinking deeper into the couch. Soft kisses fell further down Jongin's neck and pressed softly over the bruises forming there.
"What are you even trying to do?" Jongin said with a sheepish grin when Kyungsoo came back up.
"Make you feel better." He said seriously before breaking out in a cheeky smile, "is it working?"
"I don't know...You might have to try a bit harder."
Kyungsoo chuckled and leaned in so their lips could finally touch. Jongin hummed in content and nuzzled his nose with Kyungsoo's when they pulled apart.
"No go to sleep." Kyungsoo ordered, pressing a finger onto Jongin's nose. Jongin nodded and leaned back into the pillows Kyungsoo had laid out behind him.
Jongin stuck his tongue out "Yes mother"
Kyungsoo gently ruffled his hair, left him once last kiss and shut the lights off.
“Goodnight, Jongin.” He whispered.
“Goodnight, Kyungsoo.”
