I think I still have HOPE. I thought I had lost it but about a week ago I realized that I only have 28 hours. I need to find out about that because I paid for my classes. I just went to my account and it says tuition is considered a temporary payment until the HOPE process is over so I'm just hoping i'll be refunded. It's good to get off the NOPE ( Read more... )

how funny you should mention "the shield." when i was watching the emmy's i was SO pissed off Michael Chiklis won instead of Martin Sheen and the West Wing. LIke screaming and yelling (i get worked up about these shows.) Anyway -- he got up there and seemed so honored and so surprised and then i realized who he was. He was my favorite actor as a child. He was the Commish on The Commish. Anyone remember that show? My parents hated me watching it, but the teenage boy on there was cute and it was a Jewish family (which i thought i could somehow relate to) and it was just an awesome detective show. i don't know if i would still think that if i saw it today, but my memories are of sneaking around nad watching tv with the volume really low so my parents wouldn't find out. So yeah -- i didn't even know he HAD a show until the Emmy's and i haven't been able to actually watch it. I think i told dad to tape it for me but he forgot. I have to remember to ask him on that one. All right -- way too long of a comment. talk to you later

Wow! Someone else watches the Shield. My brother watched that show last year and sent the tapes down for me to watch. Its great isn't it, but it does not surpass the Sopranos, but like you said you've only seen a few episodes. There is nothing like turning on HBO and hereing the noice of a tv not recieving a signal, then drawing to an 'aaaahhhhh', then the theme song. If you have HBO you should watch it, but it is the fourth season, so you might be lost a little.

the first three seasons are available for rent at blockbuster. as is the first season of the fox drama "24." and the first 3 seasons of Sex and the City. one of these days they better release the West Wing to rent and buy. :)
