Mulcahey stopped by to talk. He's feeling a little apprehensive about this situation with One (I can't help but think of him as 'Borglet' though). Mulcahey is one of One's parents, given that his genetic material was used to conceive and as of yet, he hasn't had much interaction with his 'son'. I'm glad Mulcahey stopped by to see you, Commander. From what he said to me, I think he's also a little afraid, period. It was a pretty alarming experience, you have to admit, walking into the science lab unawares that next morning and suddenly having tubules plunged into your neck. (I can certainly relate, as I'm the guy who usually has this kind of thing happen to him). So maybe after he sits down and gets to know One, he'll feel a little better about the whole experience.

Thank goodness for this LJ system as it does allow us to talk to certain individuals in the AQ. Perhaps we can ask some of them to pass messages from us onto our families?

Of course, Commander. We would be delighted to help everyone over there connect with their families in any way we can. Unfortunately it's not the same as a live transmission, but I'm sure it will be somewhat comforting for both the Voyager crew and those left behind in the Alpha Quadrant. I believe Starfleet notified those affected as soon as it was known that we had connected with Voyager via the Live Journal system, but I am not one hundred percent positive. I'll go check into that, of course.
