[Today we see Rachel out on Route 32 with her Squirtle. Leo's just finished taking out a Mareep, and earned another level. Rachel's checking her Pokédex and sighing.

I think some Pokemon refuse to evolve. I know that my Glameow doesn't want to.

Seems kind of lame. It's not like we can refuse to grow up. Well... that's a bad example. Marco refuses to grow up, but that's different all together.

I think it might have to do with them changing forms as well? I remember my Glameow didn't like seeing what she'll eventually evolve into.

Oh hey, that could be! Though I don't know if Leo's seen what he evolves into. Besides, giant turtle with canons, how can you not love that. [She's grinning what should probably be a worrying grin.]

Yeah, I just hope it's not a permanent thing. I was kind of hoping for the super badass my friend said it would turn out to be.

Some pokemon need an item to evolve, I think. I don't know if Squirtle is one of them, though.

That's good to know, at least. Though according to the 'Dex, he's supposed to evolve at level 16, which at this point was three levels ago.

Did it hatch or were you given it. Maybe even if it reaches the level to evolve it might be too young?

It hatched. I hadn't thought of the too young thing though. That could be it.
