I went to the 2011fall UU retreat UU in Oberwesel, and the 2012 fall retreat is scheduled for Cologne. There are a lot of American expat UUs in the region.
It's not the same obviously as a church to attend weekly, but I felt as though I'd gotten enough to tide me over for quite a while. They did an amazing
job keeping it affordable and some people day-tripped to attend as well.

I'm sure I will try to go this fall.

CLF/Quest for Meaning is not working for me because of time differences and also US-centric and I don't understand its new direction. But I hope it will be a better fit someday.

You might look for Unity churches? Have you visited something like an alternate religion or new age store? Often times here in the U.S., such stores will have corkboards for groups holding meetings; you might find a spiritual-not-religious type group that way.
