This was fantastic. You're right, it does seem appropriate to have Liz be the one to pursue Jack in this story. And I really enjoyed the first part with Pete's perspective. Being friends with Liz for so long, I think you would have a deeper insight on her feelings. Again, this was great. Well done!

Thank you! It seems the Pete section is popular - which amuses me because I've had the first half on a file (named "pete fic," natch) for probably literally a year. But I love Pete. I'm glad you enjoyed!

Oh this thing is a work of beauty. Man do I want to be that cart attendant. Hee.

I really enjoyed Pete's POV and it made me wish that if they ever get together, I think I want to see it through his eyes/I want him to figure it out first. It think your characterizations for each character (Avery, Danny) were remarkable.

And I did not realise the breath I was holding until I let it out when Liz finally confessed. So much beauty in their companionship. Loved this.

Thank you so much!

Yeah, from the time I first started watching the show, I was curious what Pete might think of their relationship, since he's Liz's previous best male friend. Apparently my conclusion: a little bitter, but still a nice guy. *g*

I'm glad the other characterizations worked for you - and the climax. That's really nice to hear, so thanks!

This was super awesome, honestly.

You write my favorite kind of Liz, all of her weird and cool 'lemon things' are just right. People seem to have different views on who's the pining one, who's the one more likely to make the first move, and this was perfect for my own take on the show.

Pete and Liz bits were my fave I think, and I just love your attention to details.

Write us more pretty please :D

Thank you! I'm really glad you like my Liz, since for some reason she's the hardest for me to write. Clearly Tina Fey's genius is too much for me.

Honestly, like three months ago, it was hard for me to imagine a Liz (from season three or four) who might have it this bad for Jack. I think it's only a few beats in a couple of episodes since then that have totally changed my mind. So that was fun to write, and I'm really glad you enjoyed it.

This was a great read! Like other people said, I really enjoyed the Pete section. It was nice to get a look into Pete's domestic life that didn't seem entirely hellish. I was impressed with the Avery section too, seeing as she's only been in one episode so far.

This made me more excited about the ship than I have been in a while. I love reading long, absorbing fics like this.

In section three:

but a far as she can tell, Nancy isn't a big player.

Should be "as far as she can tell."

Thank you! You know, some of my earlier versions of the Pete section were much more negative, but some of my favorite Pete moments on the show are when his kids are crawling on top of him in Pilot, or when he does the Elmo voice, so I decided to warm to the Hornberger brood a little bit.

I'm glad the Avery section worked - even though she's only been in one episode, she seemed like the easiest to write, and also really fun. Maybe that's because I could just work one angle of her attitude, hahah.

Thanks - I edited this a billion times last night, but I always miss something...
