the general rules
➀ Stay In Character. We're not going to punish you for slipping slightly OOC, but just keep in mind this is a game. You have creative liberties. We'll have monthly HMD memes, so just listen to your fellow players. Just have fun and don't go too crazy.
➁ Kindness. Have common courtesy and be kind to your fellow players. Don't talk about how much you hate a character, pairing, player, and so on. We all have different interests here. Just be nice and everything will be grand.
➂ Abilities. No character is invincible. All are bound to lose at some point. Your character may have superpower upon coming to this chalk-world, but once here, you will be surprised to find out that their abilities are being suppressed. You are only able to use about half your original strength.
➃ Languages. There is no language barrier in the game. Everyone hears everyone in some same, common tongue. There are still accents, and your character can purposely choose to speak in her or her own language, but upon arrival, you are suddenly able to speak and understand, fully, this strange new dialect.
➄ Original Characters. Why yes, we're allowing them! However, you must pass one AC with a non-original character before you can apply for an OC. This is to secure fandoms in the game, and to make sure you are up for the challenge, so to speak!
➅ No God-Moding. Your character is not God, your character does not know everything that is going on in this strange world, and your character does not know everything you know. OOC information does not equal IC information. If you aren't sure about something, don't hesitate to ask if something is god-modding! If you're having a battle scene, always contact the other player involved.
➆ Not really a rule but... If you ever have any questions or problems, do not hesitate to contact Kat (
ozgasmic) or via aim (paralyzed enigma)
about posting
the main community - The main community is used for face-to-face interactions.
Anything that happens around town, in a house, on the fields, goes here. The main community will also be used to announce events, and to announce activity checks when they present themselves.
your journal - Quite literally a chalkboard! However, with your magical chalk, you can draw a circle (for audio only!), a square (video!), or simply write a message in it. Your responses will show accordingly in that journal! Either a screen will appear, sounds will be made, or writing from other characters will show up! ( Many thanks to my crew for this lovely idea ♥ )
tags- will be on every entry in the main community as first name last name. Series will only be added when there are multiple characters.
ACTIVITY CHECK
In order to pass the monthly activity check, you must have made one post in your journal, or on the main community. Tags to other characters' journals and logs can be used in exchange for this requirement (six comments made by YOU).
game information
character limit - you may have up to five characters. If you would like to apply for more, contact Kat and we can talk it out! You may have no more than two characters on reserve at once, and you must wait until your FIRST character in the game is accepted until you apply or reserve for a second.
game chat - is on aim under the name of chalkon. No surprise there, huh?
his highness - an amibigous figure that 'rules' the town of Cretan from afar in the castle. Whenever he speaks, it is via a voice-changer and an ambiguous red :). Of course, the locals do not know the latter bit of information, considering they do not recall the hours past five pm. A shame. His Highness never leaves the castle, and even if he did, no one would know who he is or what he looks like. So you're a bit at a lost, aren't you?
the residents - They're pretty friendly and normal. They know around the same amount of knowledge and information as you, and they can be quite resourceful. They aren't hostile, but don't go around killing anyone. There is a working police force for great felonies. If you steal? Expect to be chased by the shop-keeper.
the chalk - Each character starts out with a single piece of chalk and a chalkboard for communication. This chalk will never run out. Originally, it only draws pictures. HOWEVER, events will change this. Bimonthly events will bring about a new use for the chalk. Look out for these events on the main community.
five pm - After five pm every night until midnight, everything comes to life! Buildings will now have chalk-drawn eyes and speak to you, and the street will complain about your high-heels, girls! Have fun with the creativeness~
