OKAY SO QUESTION.

Do characters communicate through a leather journal, a phone device, or a chalkboard? Under the 'about posting' section it mentions a leather-bound journal, 'game information' mentions a phone device, and the opening log says chalkboard.

It's a chalkboard. It had originally, before the game opened, designed to be a phone... but the idea of a chalkboard and snazzy features sounded more unique to the game.
