If this oil spill is the event that leads to the end of all life on earth there's only one concern I have: will I play it out to the end, slowly realizing that all of the things I take for granted are no longer available to me? Or will I just hang myself as soon as I run out of cigarettes and booze

Well then, I think the preferred stock option then would be booze and narcotics. Mostly because either one will kill you much faster then dehydration or cancer (which I gather would be result of the toxicity).

Aside of that, motor oil and crude oil are two different things. Crude oil is not refined, which means that the toxicity is proportionally lower. Hopefully low enough to get people's shit in tow rather quick.

You should take a look from your tree house to see if the savior is around the bend.

I was also just informed that to date this is still only about as much oil as 30% of the exxon Valdez. So I got Foxed. Damnit.
