Maybe he's just freaked by the vet's smile as it is interpreting it as a threat gesture. :D

Vets are just amazing, man. What other job description would include 'must be able to provide a warm yet efficient stethoscope experience for a newly birthed otter'?

Aw look at them. He's all "o hai dere!" and making that essential eye contact you look for in infant mustelidae.

Baby animals making eye contact is always irresistible but there's nothing like an otter giving you the killer eyeroll, is there?
