(...Assuming there's at least one on my f'list ;-)
Can you kindly point me to any fic-oriented Sherlock Holmes comms that are ACD-friendly? And/or canon-focused?

(Last night I found a fabulous ACD-canon comm on LJ but it's been moribund for over a year. Why is it that so many of the best comms are dormant! I'm looking at you, metafandom.)

I think dispatch_box is probably the most ACD friendly of the Holmes coms on LJ.
There's also cox and co, although they used to have pretty elaborate "members only" sign ups. That may no longer be the case.

I just checked out cox-and-co. It looks doable, membership-wise (you should see the hurdles I leaped to join the Bootmakers!) ... but they don't permit gen or het content, they're exclusively slash/femslash/poly. Which, erm, lets me out on this one! Still, it's good to know the comm is there.

There's also a fair bit of canon at AO3, which is one of the places I look for that sort of story.

(Haven't really investigated AO3 for canon-based fic yet, but you're right, I mustn't leave that out! Ta!)
