Tonight I held a tripod headstand (knees on elbows) for about a breath and a half.

But damn it, I DID IT.

(Ego is not supposed to be part of practice. Cool. But I have NEVER been able to do that, not even in Phys Ed in tumbling as a small child.)

Time to stop for the night, and take ibuprofen before bed, just in case.

Haven't been feeling too great for the last few days...a migraine and nausea being my chief complaints, both held to a dull roar through meds yesterday. Fell asleep last night rather early for me, and skipped the Silver Spring contra dance for which I would otherwise have been home in time, as a result ( Read more... )

That moment where for some reason what kicks a piece from an idea into "thing I'm writing" is changing word processors and or fonts/font colors. (Also sometimes writing in longhand, in different colors.)

I don't get it -- but if it means I'm creating, I'll take it.

Spent National Proofreading Day working on my most recent writing project and reading stuff online that was fortunately relatively free of proofreading errors. One of the scenes that I thought would be tough ended up surprisingly easy to write (bonus!).
