Okay, no, this is extremely problematic. Is there an "official" like government facebook account where the papers are served from? I'm pretty sure the entire reason why they have legal papers served by a specific person is so that person can later vouch for the fact that the person those papers were intended for actually received them?

I just...I just can't.

Um, no. Lawyers do it.

Well there's still no way you can tell if an account is one of a legit lawyer or not. Like could I just open some fake account in order to troll people? I don't like this at all, I get that the internet is used for sharing and receiving so much information these days but there are some things that should still only be done in person.

Your links were for decisions in the UK and Australia but apparently there have been Canadian cases as well...Ugh. Who knows where this will go.

UGH. Facebook is evil! I'm glad I was already aware of my stalker tendencies before I joined so I wasn't taken in too much by how easy it is to be creepy on there. I HATE THE SCROLL THINGER ON THE SIDE. I don't need to know where all my friends are commenting at any given moment of the day, FB! How 'bout some privacy plz!

Imagine if LJ offered the option to track every comment made by a user. (TheForce.Net Boards actually do that; no wonder I had a stalker there on my old account.) It's like an invitation to stalk.
