Colonello, I have something very important to show you. Could you come to my room, please? As soon as possible.

If it's that important, I'll be there in a few seconds, hey.

"Took you long enough, idiot," Reborn said, dragging Colonello into his room by the collar.

Inside, it looked completely different. The walls were draped with red curtains (purely for aesthetic effect); the bed was remade with red sheets and strewn with rose petals. There were candles lit on one of the tables, and a covered tray of food. It was very carefully done; it was obvious that a person of taste had a hand in it. Not quite "too much" but there was a significant amount of effort put in to make it look that way.

"You need to get dressed," he insisted, dumping Colonello on the floor.

Colonello raised a brow at Reborn's newly refurbished room. What in the hell was going on, exactly? He glanced at Reborn after being pushed to the floor and scowled. Get dressed? Him? For what? He quickly stood up and shoved Reborn up against a wall.

"What the hell is wrong with you, hey? Someone hit you on the head?"

Reborn twisted out of Colonello's hold, grabbing his arm and twisting it behind him. "I'm doing this for your own good, you idiot," he hissed. "Do you want Lal to come in here while you're still dressed like that?" That being Colonello's usual clothing; not that he didn't look good in it, but today was supposed to be special, and if this idiot wasn't going to make the effort to get the other idiot, then Reborn would have to be the one to take steps or they would be doing the same thing until they died.

He grabbed the suit on its hanger lying across the bed and pressed it into Colonello's hands. "Put. It. On." He said very forcefully.

He was about to start complaining and probably punch Reborn in the face. That's how their meetings usually went. But when he mentioned Lal, Colonello stopped struggling and blinked at the hitman. "Lal?" When Reborn gave him the clothes, he blinked again, it was all coming together now.

"You- .." His lips curled into a smile while he removed his shirt. "Bastard."

He opened the door to see her staring downward; expecting a small Reborn, no doubt. Then she closed her eyes for a second (it was almost like an obvious game that she was losing at). Finally, her eyes met his and she looked completely bewildered. Colonello almost wish that he had a camera because the surprised look on her face would be something that he would never see again. However, in a few minutes, he just might get to see that face again.

He didn't bother to say anything. He just took her by the hand and gently led her into the room, shutting the door behind her. There was food on the table, but his voice couldn't come out when he wanted to ask her if she was hungry. (Partly because he was a bit nervous, partly because he was too excited to just sit down, and partly because Bianchi may have helped with the cooking)

Lal didn't protest, walking in cautiously, her eyes wandering from the man to the decorated room around her, taking in the sight that seemed to almost throw her off even more.

Finally, she looked back at him, searching for words and force them out. "... What's all of this for?"

Colonello smiled lightly at the confused woman, never letting go of her hand. "Lal." He took her other hand and stared at her eyes. "I almost had sex with Reborn, I told Ace that he was hotter than you, and I generally flirted with a bunch of other girls and guys." Hopefully, it wasn't a dumb choice to say that. "But from all of that, I found that you're the only one that can make my heart skip a beat, hey. That's one thing I can thank the damn fruit for. Now I know for sure, I love your more than anyone else."

Lal stayed silent; it was the only thing she could do. If she tried to speak, the words wouldn't surface. Normally, things like this wouldn't get to her this easily. She wasn't into corny romance. So why did she find herself speechless, her heart beating faster than it usually would? Lal's hands stayed rested against his own hands, her gaze still soft, lost in those pools of blue eyes. " you..."
