I see a lot of women putting on makeup on the train in the morning. Men putting on their neck ties. The train ride is a good way to make up time in the morning. It seems normal. What didn't seem normal was today when I saw a woman on BART with her hair in rollers. What seemed even more strange was that it was 5:00pm.

When we were in DC I used to tell Brian, "Don't let me become THAT woman. Or if I do, don't let me leave the house." It was always some tourist mom screeching at her kids, "Four more stops!...Three more stops!...Hey, remember it's the Lenfant station!" While wearing a Minnie Mouse t-shirt and a fanny pack.

But usually her hair was just normal. Or badly dyed in a normal color.
