It's more a matter of situation. It would be no more offensive, no, but the perspective goes from a row between two individuals of equal standing, to one exhibiting an inappropriate display of power over another. One had greater opportunity to defend himself, one did not. It exacerbates whatever circumstances led to the situation.
If I'd done this to a warden, everyone would be shouting for me to be put in a cage. Some would suggest I be thrown overboard. At the very least, I'd be taken to Zero. All I did was blind my warden temporarily, and I was locked away--while Sexby, who caused nearly irreparable damage to someone, is walking around a free man.
Isn't it funny, the way certain people are allowed to get away with things like this?
Because he's a warden. He's in a position of power, and he's liked by many. Of course a monster like me would deserve to be locked up, but Sexby? Perish the thought!
Perhaps. Something ought to be done, anyway. Though I believe the consequences of his actions may be more punishment than we could concoct on our own. [He's pretty sure Angelica is pissed.]

These remarks and others are beginning to make me wonder if perhaps this would matter little if I were just a decade or two younger.

Surely he is in his cabin now, and he'll not resist you. Go. Go before you make his wife do it.
