I humbly request that no one enter the CES from 8:00 to 8:30 pm standard Barge time. I'll be [destroying things] conducting experiments. If anyone has plans I can adjust my schedule to accommodate. [Pleasant pleasant.]

Rassilon is under the impression that he's going to get a ticket to ride. Graduation need not be necessary, and this ship not break him because Omega will rescue him from it's confines. No change required, and that he's only waiting to discover a way to salvage Gallifrey.

He claims Omega has assured him of this. I'm attempting to calm down so that I might approach the situation.

What? Why would he tell him something like that?

[WAIT WAIT not the reaction you need to hear. :|]

What do you need me to do?

I'm not a very good person sometimes when I become angry, Dick. I act out, think I'm doing the right thing and it turns out to be the wrong thing.

The honest truth is, I want to sabotage it. My very first inclination was to destroy whatever plans it required, even their relationship which I fully advocated the formation of if necessary, to stop this before more people suffered at Rassilon's whim. He attacked my friend only for loving a human.

I need to be talked down. I need to be talked to. I need [Benny] someone telling me that it's wrong and there's always a better approach.

You sound as though you could use either a cup of tea or a glass of bourbon, Doctor.

[The last time Narvin saw the Doctor anything *near* like this, they were destroying snow Daleks. He wonders what the hell just happened.]

It would help if I knew what I'm supposed to be talking you out of. [Not very sympathetic-sounding, but then Narvin's not usually good at sympathy. But he does sound calm and reasonable and maybe that'll be enough to help at least a little bit.]

[He shoves a bit of conversation at Narvin. Just a small bit.]

Don't count on Rassilon ever improving any time soon. This ship will never break him, after all. [Venom. Slimey, angry, talk-people-into-destroying-their-planets venom. Cosmos he could use a snow Dalek to destroy right now. Hence CES time.]

[Cue Gallifreyan swearing.]

Break him? He thinks the wardens will break him? I could show him what-- [No, not helpful. Or very warden-like or lawful. Even if he does hate Rassilon as much as he admires the myth of Rassilon, and can never quite decide if he wants to honour him or shoot him.]

Whatever you do, don't act hastily. It's not a critical emergency; there's time to decide carefully how to approach this.

[Good save, Narvin.] I'm attempting not to. He really believes that he need not graduate to leave. Or that there's anything about him that might require change.

My brother graduates. They save Gallifrey. And they return Rassilon as he is to it with only caring for two people in the universe, Omega and a collective lump he's labelled "his children"...

Rassilon happened. [D: is right!]

He's utterly convinced Omega will take him from the ship without need of graduation. Even if it is or isn't true, Rose never had much of a chance of getting anywhere with him. The impression is firmly fixed in his mind. [The saddest part is despite being angry he wishes that he had more "f"s for that.]

The Master did manage to escape. So it might not be an idle statement. But then again, Rassilon might be exaggerating.

In any case, it explains why Rose went through so much difficulty.

Rassilon is under the impression that, whether or not he graduates, Omega will help him leave the boat. He insists that he's been assured of it.

By who?

By Omega. I can't imagine why he would do that, though. It would completely have countered Rose's- the only reason I can think of is to assure Rassilon he wouldn't die when without a warden.
