i never heard of some of these but if i liked the title or the actors or director, i picked them anyway.

I will often see movies based alone on the director or a certain star. Of course, I don't need much convincing to see most movies. :)

i've heard of "Cold Mountain" and had almost no interest in seeing it until i saw in your poll that Jude Law was in it. He's pretty cool. And Nicole Kidman... she bugs me but i like just about everything she's in. not sure why that is.

Wait... Last Samurai is that dumb Tom Cruise movie, isn't it? I thought it was something else. Scratch that. Add: Mystic River, Bad Santa.

I'm curious to see Bad Santa, if for no other reason than I like Thornton and Zwigoff. I had to limit myself to December releases because LJ only allowed 15 options. :)

I was surprised that I generally liked TLS despite Cruise.

I don't like Cruise very much either, but I'll go see practically anything involving samurai swords. I have a love for sword movies in general, I guess.

I might go see Paycheck and Peter Pan, if someone else pays for the tickets.

I can't wait to see Girl With a Pearl Earring and Peter Pan.

I'm boycotting Cheaper by the Dozen to protest the bastardization of one of my favorite books.

And, of course, breathlessly awaiting ROTK. ;)

Normally my movie list wouldn't look so cheezy, but those 'serious' movies don't grab me... I have to see "Cheaper" for Tom Welling, and the Farrelly Bros. crack me up, even though I don't care for Matt Damon... I like the whole "empowered women" idea behind "Smile"... "Cold Mountain" was a great book, and the preview for "Big Fish" looked mighty interesting!
