Happy Chanuka to those of the tribe.

It has been quite some time since I updated my journal, eh?

Congratulations! I'm glad Elizabeth was born healthy and strong. Aren't baby smiles the greatest? They look so happy when they smile.

Here's hoping Bertie and Jeeves get you through the trip to Wisconsin. They always make me smile...

Her smile is almost always crooked, and I love it - it has such charm!

Congratulations!

My brother's baby had the most awful colic for the first few months of his life, but I swear that now that he's over it, he's the happiest kid and I've never once heard him so much as whimper. I think colicky babies cry it all out the first few months and then become the sunniest kids you can imagine. I'm sure it's trying now, though, so best wishes as you weather the storm :)

Thanks for the well wishes. I sure hope there's an end to this soon. I feel so helpless to see her crinkle up her little body and howl. :(

Congratulations!!! Our babies are only three days apart. Joshua was born on the ninth of October. Have you tried the liquid homeopathic for colic that BOIRON makes? I had some limited success with it with Nicholas. It's available at whole foods and peoples. And by the way, who cares about that other mama? Your Elizabeth thinks you're a great mama, and that's what matters. I love your name choice, but I may be a bit prejudiced as it's my name too. ;)

It seems like all my internet friends due around Halloween went early. :) I haven't tried anything for colic (other than comfort measures). Is that the stuff that starts with A. I'm on an October check-in at MDC, and one of the moms there recommended something the other day and said I could find it at a natural foods store.

I love the name, too! :) Elizabeth has always said wisdom and compassion to me.

no, I think the ingredient is cocyntal. The maker is BOIRON and it's called colic relief. It's a liquid in individual dosing containers.

Welcome back! I've missed you. I can't offer any baby advice, but I'm glad that you and Elizabeth are both doing well (or as well as any colicky baby can do, I guess).

Thanks! I'm just grateful she's healthy. When my friend's baby was stillborn 2 weeks before my due date, I was shocked and depressed. So I definitely don't take it for granted that all went well with Eliza.

Thank you! Now that I'm 8 weeks postpartum, I guess I'd better get back on the exercise wagon, eh? :)
