I was *this* close to walking home from the park 4 miles shlepping the baby and her bag. I have little tolerance for bitchiness (and this woman has always been snippy). I have little tolerance for those who run their mouths on subjects they know nothing about. And for some odd reason, I don't particularly care for being accused of trying to kill ( Read more... )

Thanks. :) You know, I'm usually a gentle person, but I think I would have enjoyed slapping her.

(((((hugs)))))

Gaaaah- I had a friend like that. We parted ways.

It's funny- you can end up with a brand new friend who you have nothing in common with when you have a baby and you can lose another who you shared everything with. It's all so strange how it all changes.

A few years ago, 90% of my friends were gay men. Now, 90% of my friends are moms. Most of my friends moved out of state, and I was forced to get out of the house and socialize or lose my mind.

But this woman at the park has never been a friend. I'd be tempted to skip all LLL meetings and park days from now on just to avoid her, but that would be cutting off my nose to spite my face.

I wish I could just laugh it off and say "she's an idiot - what do you care what she says?" DH does that - any nasty comment rolls off him like water on a duck's back, but I sit there stewing and obsessing until I drive myself crazy. So it's a good thing I avoid the debate train wrecks on YaYas. ;)

LOL- I think I'm more like your hub. I rarely get annoyed much longer than it takes to post a reply. I never liked the LLL people around here. They were all in the very religious category, and I couldn't communicate with them, heathen that I am.

You know- I miss all my gay male friends! I only have two who are left in the area, and they weren't the ones I was closest to. That's what happens when you live in a college town though. I'm pretty used to it by now. Most of my straight frined have moved, and by now, more than half of my mom friends have moved. This sounds pitiful, doesn't it? Let's just say- thank goodness for the other half of the mom friends. And the internet.
