I love people. I love everyone, it's a such a blessing that the Lord has granted me to think this way because I just look around and freakin' love every person I come in contact with. I agree with everything you said. However, there is one thing I want to point out. It was God through Paul who said the woman has to submit in the relationship (Ephesians 5).The wife is to submit as the church submits to Christ and the man is to love the wife as Christ lvoes the church. Not trying to sound all preachy or anything..just noting that is not one of the needless rules. However with all that said, You are right on, we try to add to much stuff and do things a certain way instead of letting it be all God.

Another thing to remember is that Paul's letters were directed to churches in a specific city. These churches were dealing with different issues. To think that eveything in Paul's letters applies to everyone would be ludicrous.

I did include the part that man is to love the woman like Christ loves the church. But anyways I don't want it to see like I'm trying to argue with you b/c I'm not. And I agree with you on the fact that it doesn't apply to you now. This is one verse that is taken out of context though, you're right about that many guys do leave out the important part about loving like Christ. You're awesome and love u as my sis in Christ!!!

This is a common mindset that is starting to spread in our generation. It is so good to see people that are stepping away from tradition and realizing that a relationship with Christ is not dependant on what we are "supposed to do" or what others have done. Welcome to the postmodern movement.
