It is sad, but he'll be much better off in their care. Baby squirrels aren't the easiest things to raise. Yes, my mom would bring them home for us to care for when she worked at the Emergency Vet Clinic.

in charleston one of the girls i worked with took two in. they then let them out into the wild and can still feed them.
