I am a busy person, and I would love it if people would stop giving me stuff to do. I could do without people volunteering me to take on special projects ( Read more... )

If you want something done, you give it to a busy person. Obviously, you're one of the good guys :)

I'll be the first to admit that in the past, I've felt frazzled when I felt I had too much on my plate. It can be overwhelming to have a bunch of tasks piled into your metaphorical in-box all at once. but that's when prioritizing can be beneficial.

Alternatively, people must think highly of your work habits/work ethic that they have you in mind for the projects you mention here.

I hope that when you do have your holiday downtime, you get to unplug from anything work-related and either relax as much as possible or enjoy leisure activities you haven't had a chance to do lately.
